MTT 1510/1556 Common Questions
Q: What’s the difference between void and return?
A: Voids are used to remove sales from the current batch of transactions that are stored in the MTT. Returns are used to credit a customer’s account when the original transaction has already been reconciled and is no longer in the batch in the MTT. (So if you have already reconciled or logged off the MTT the only option is a “return”).
